Gathering at the Well

When the Synod Study Team composed the missional invitation to the seven New Jersey Presbyteries, they were particularly concerned that, “the voices and communities that have been marginalized and under-represented in our presbyteries because of size, language, race, or community-type not be similarly marginalized in the new missional communities.”

To that end, the Presbytery of Northeast New Jersey is inviting you to Gather at the Well for a day of fellowship, conversation, and discernment.

The goal of our discernment is to learn how we as a presbytery are already supporting one another and how we can best share presbytery resources to meet the needs of congregations and pastors as they seek to serve the needs of their community.

Please take a look at when representatives from your congregation are being invited to participate and save the date. In addition to all minister members, each congregation will be able to invite up three individuals (we recommend an Elder, a Deacon, and a youth or young adult, ages 16-25).

The invitation list for each gathering has been selected to reflect the diversity of our presbytery, ensuring that each gathering has a variety of voices and perspectives. If you are unable to attend the gathering to which you were invited, please contact Steve Huston at shuston@pnenj.org.
