Kirk Woodward was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He majored in English at Washington and Lee University and served in the Army before moving to New York City. He worked for Time Warner Inc. and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, earning along the way an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix. He and his late wife Pat are the parents of three children, Erin, Heather, and Craig. In theater he has directed, acted, and taught, and is the author of over thirty produced plays. He is musical director for both the Foggy Minded Boys and the Foggettes, who have brought free entertainment to not for profit organizations.

Kirk currently serves as Co-Pastoral Leader at Bethel Presbyterian Church (with Martha Day)and as Pastoral Leader at Fewsmith Memorial Presbyterian Church. In Newark Presbytery he has most recently served on the Ministry Relations Team as co-chair.

Kirk has preached within the Presbytery of Newark for the last thirty years and recently earned a Certificate in Pastoral Administration from the School of Theology of the University of Dubuque.

He is the author of Two Worlds, One Lord (2016, Pippin Press)
